My favorite Runway looks from NYFW

As we all know, this past week was New York Fashion Week, and If you’re like me you’ve been watching all your favorite influencers attend their shows via Tik Tok and Instagram. For this week’s post I’d like to round up all my favorite looks from the runway.

In love with this COS look, the silver belt accentuates the model’s silhouette and ties into the bright color palette. The bag contrasts the color of the sweater dress ever so slightly and perfectly.

I love the pastel tones of this ball gown, and I think it pays the perfect homage to Carolina Herrera’s sophisticated and feminine reputation. I think the yellow bow cinches the model’s waist perfectly and adds the most elegant touch. I adore a square neck cut and think anyone can pull it off. The outward flow of the skirt makes for a perfect swoop and spin.

Another near monochromatic outfit from Carolina Herrera. The silver bangles add smoothness to the texture of the sequins and shine of the dress. I like that the outfit was centered around the dress and the rest of the look remained simple and even the makeup was neutral.

I love this Ralph Lauren number. Mixing metallic and sequins is very risky, but these compliment each other perfectly. I love how perfectly the accessories tie the look together. The gold bangle and insignia on the black belt allow for a common theme and cultivate the perfect outfit.

I love how this ensemble by Michael Kohrs utilizes simple and statement elements. The white button down and no jewelry are elements of an effortless but classic style, while the sequin gold skirt, sandals, and bag each add different textures that make the classic outfit bold.

This Brandon Maxwell dress places a spin on the classic asymmetrical dress. elongated waste and enlarged shoulder strap stray from the typical asymetrical bodycon dress. At the ends of the strap and the dress is tulle detailing which creates whispy texture for the otherwise simple dress. The camel colored hobo bag with gold detailing matches the shoes and earrings to a t.

This Altuzarra number looks like something straight off Pinterest. The beige cropped trench coat and the bronze skirt contrast neutral and metal tones, the underskirt making both shades pop. The red bag is a muted statement piece that disqualifies the look from being monochromatic, but still pairs well with the outfit. The shoes are all the proof I need to know that ballet flats are making a comeback.

Dare I say, my favorite look from fashion week… The pink? The bows? The shoes? Everything is perfect. Somehow this brand does a wonderful job of being maximalists with a classy finished look. Tying the bows into the dress and shoes was a great stylistic choice and made for a great outfit.

Hope everyone enjoyed seeing my favorite fashion week looks. Let me now which outfits were your favorite or what brands you like the best!

xoxo,

Kate Violet
